Our pieces are mostly 19th century \u0026amp; early 20th century.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMongolian Sideboards were usually made from locally sourced wood, normally Elm, Poplar or Pine. These cabinets were often used by nomadic people for storage of clothes and bedding or grain.   From Mongolia China, they were also used as altar cabinets for family ancestor worship. The front doors have been modified from the original closed front to make it more functional.
