It was made for the Chinese export market and was intended for wealthy members of the British Georgian upper class during the Qing dynasty.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis intricate and detailed work was made for export to Britain when Chinoiserie was all the rage in the early 19\u003csup\u003eth\u003c\/sup\u003e century. Black lacquer export sewing kits and jewelry boxes were also made.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThese pieces are fragile pieces of history and are usually found damaged. This games table has been checked over in our workshop and our team has used traditional techniques to restore the table to its former glory.
