These chests were produced mostly in the Taishō (1912 - 1926) \u0026amp; Shōwa (1926 - 1989) eras. This is one of a set purchased and dates to the beginning of the \u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eShōwa era. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eConstructed from kiri (paulownia wood), this tansu has brass anodized hardware.
