Bronze Sitting Buddha Statue - Dhyana Mudra Pose

These bronze Buddha statues are hand made using techniques handed down through the generations. Cast over a meld of clay and wax, once cooled, the statue is then painstakingly polished. This Buddha is in the meditation pose; his hands resting on his lap, right hand leaning on the palm of the left. The pose of Dhyana Mudra was used by Buddha during his final meditation beneath the Bodhi tree before achieving enlightenment.
