Green Painted Lattice Indian Jali Doors From Bikaner - 19th Century

These striking 19th-century lattice doors originate from Bikaner in Rajasthan, a historic desert city celebrated for its richly decorated havelis, carved architectural elements, and vibrant painted furnishings. Constructed from roheda wood and featuring intricate open latticework panels, the doors retain their original layers of weathered green paint, creating a beautifully aged patina that speaks to their long history and use. They can still be used as double doors, just let us know and we’ll remove the batons joining the two doors.

The geometric lattice design would have allowed ventilation and filtered light while maintaining privacy within traditional Indian homes.
