Vintage Brass Ghee Pot From Mumbai - Ca 1940

This vintage Indian storage caddy was originally used for storing ghee, traditional clarified butter used across much of India and Tibet. In the old days the ladies of the house took great pride in their polished brass.

Incredibly hardy, these vintage brass pots can still be put to use in a modern kitchen. They've retained a rich natural patina and vibrant golden brass colour

This brass pot is vintage and dates to the 1940's. Many of our vintage brass pots have some small marks and dents from original use which adds to their character. For individual condition, see photos.
