Old Pine Chinese Farmers Basket

These old Chinese wooden vegetable baskets were used by farmers for taking their goods to the market to sell, and for measuring rice. They would also be used by farmers for moving goods around on the farm. This one is constructed from elm wood and is originally from the early 1900's. It has developed a wonderful patina over the years.
