Rustic Painted Slatted Teak Shelf - Ca 1960

This rustic green painted teak shelf dates from the 1960s and is a wonderfully practical example of mid-20th-century Indian utilitarian furniture. Simple and sturdy in construction, it retains much of its original soft green-blue paint, which has naturally worn and distressed over time to reveal the warm teak beneath.

The tall, narrow frame incorporates four open slatted shelves, providing generous storage without making the piece feel visually heavy. Its open construction and relatively compact footprint make it particularly useful where floor space is limited.
